Free volunteer application form

Every fire department can have a free online volunteer application. Link to it from your website, social media or flyers, and each application is emailed to your volunteer recruiter as soon as it is submitted.

What you get, free

What your department needs to do

The application is free for any fire department that signs up and keeps its page current. Before your application goes live, your department:

  1. Signs up to manage its page. Find your department in the directory, open its page and select Manage this fire department. Only people who work or volunteer at the department can sign up, and we verify each one, for example by calling the department's public phone number.
  2. Updates its contact information: address, phone number and website.
  3. Updates its fire chief.
  4. Adds its volunteer information: the minimum requirements, training, time commitment and what volunteering there is like. The form shows an example answer for each question.
  5. Gives us the email address that receives applications, usually your volunteer recruiter's.

Once we have verified all five, your volunteer page and application go live, and we send you the link to share.

Also free: keep your listing up to date

Anyone who works at the department can update its listing for free, including photos and the logo, a description, contact information, the fire chief, statistics and fire equipment. See update your listing.
