Washington State Fire Service Resource Mobilization
A state plan, run by the Washington State Patrol State Fire Marshal's Office, that sends firefighters and equipment from around the state when a wildfire or other emergency is bigger than local resources and mutual aid can handle.
For fire departments
- The local fire chief can request state mobilization once local resources and mutual aid are used up
- Coordinates personnel, equipment and logistics for approved mobilizations
- Reimburses responding career and volunteer firefighters and contract resources, with published wage and equipment guides
For the community
- Brings extra firefighting help from across Washington to communities threatened by large fires and other emergencies
