Special Districts Association of Oregon
Also known as: SDAO
A membership association for Oregon's special districts, including fire districts. It has a Fire and EMS chapter that speaks for districts providing fire protection and emergency services.
For fire departments
- Offers board training, including the free-to-enroll SDAO/OFDDA Fire District Directors Academy for board members of OFDDA member districts.
- Provides legislative advocacy, research and technical help, and consulting services.
- Points members to SDIS for property/casualty coverage, risk management services and a Safety & Security Grant Program.
- Holds regional trainings, webinars, online training and an annual conference, and shares wildfire, cybersecurity and grant resources.
